How Do I Burn an MP3 Disc to play?

The A3 DVD Player is capable of playing MP3 Discs, if you wish to burn your own MP3 Discs to play then read the following introduction.

MP3 stands for MPEG compression level 3. Put simply, MP3 is a compression standard which compresses the audio file into a much smaller package than the original while still retaining much (dependent on sampling rate) of the original quality. CD audio takes up a comparatively large amount of room (as does WAV) so not many tracks can be fitted onto a single CD (74-80 mins worth generally). Compression rates vary on the bit rate used (128Kbps is a good average for reasonable near CD quality) but generally MP3 files are 1/10th of the size of a normal CD track so many more (150+) can be fitted on to 1 650/700Mb CD.

There are 5 things you will need before starting to burn your own MP3's to disc.
  1. A PC
  2. A CD Burner and a blank disc.
  3. Source files (The original music)
  4. Software for 'ripping'
  5. Software for 'burning'

A Note On Copyright: - Please check the relevant copyright laws concerning ripping and burning audio files that you do not own the copyright to. There are many 'free' MP3 files on the net and plenty of sources from where to get them, just use your favourite search engine and pop in the word 'MP3' in and press go.
