My player is acting strangely, how can I stop/cure this?

There are a couple of golden rules to abide by when thinking about installing your DVD player. They are immensly complicated machines that when used under normal conditions heat build up can occur if ventilation is not properly catered for. Ensure your player has adequate ventilation or the unit may overheat and lock up. If it does lock up, switch the player off at the mains socket and wait for 10 minutes or so for the player to cool down. Normal operation should then return. Ensuring adequate ventilation will also extend the life of the player.

Proximity to other devices may also be a factor if your DVD player locks up.
