Menu items are in Italics. (!) It is useful to have a TV listings guide while tuning.   Getting to the right menu Select the desired programme number to change using the Up & Down arrow keys. Press The Menu button to bring up the Main Menu. Use the Up & Down buttons to highlight Install. Press Right to access the Install Menu. Move the highlight Down to select Manual Tuning and Right to enter Manual Tuning mode.   Starting the search Note down the 'C' or 'S' number on the right of the blue bar. (next to the Pr No to be changed). This is your starting point. If all you need to do is move stations to different Pr No's then click here to go to the channel sort section. Press either Left or Right to start the search in the respective direction. The sound will mute during search. Please Wait will flash on the screen while the TR4 searches. When the TR4 has found a channel Please Wait will disappear and the volume will be restored.   Is it the right channel? If you know your channel numbers then you can tell from the 'C' number whether or not it is the station you desire. If you dont know your channel numbers then consult you TV listings guide to identify the channel. If it is the station you require then just press Menu three times to store and return to normal viewing. (This is necessary to change to a different Pr No if more Pr No's are to be tuned in.) If it is not the station you require then press the same Left or Right button to continue searching. When you find the station you require, press the Menu button three times to store the station and return to normal viewing. The progress indicator in the middle of the blue bar lets you see how much of the band you have searched. If you have searched all the entire bands available and you have been going in the same direction (either left or right) then you should end up at the same point as your starting point. If you still havn't found the station you want then re-orientate your indoor antenna or check the antenna on another TV set.   Repeating the process Once you are back in normal viewing mode you are free to change the Pr No and manually tune another station. Just go back to step 3 and repeat the process for the newly selected Pr No.   Leaving Manual tuning mode When you have finished tuning your set then press the Menu button three times to return to normal viewing.
